Challenge: The client were remodeling the entire basement for entertainment and to watch multiple sporting events at one time.
Solution: There is always more than one game on at a time, so instead of flipping between them on one TV, why not have them all on as the same time? The client decided to go with a 120” projection screen for the main game and flank it with two 65” TVs on each side. The main screen (Screen Innovations Zero Edge acoustically transparent screen) would also be used to watch movies. 5.1 audio was installed using Monitor Audio Control Performance in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. Powering the speakers is a Marantz SR6012 AV receiver and a Monitor Audio IWA-250 subwoofer amp. The projector is a high end JVC DLA-RS2000. In the bar area, in-ceiling Monitor Audio CC265 speakers being powered by a SONOS Amp along with another 65” Samsung TV. This is all controlled with an RTI T2i touchscreen remote and an RTI XP3 processor. The result is an entertainer’s dream. The big game on the big screen, second and third alternate games flanking the big screen, and a either another game to the big game on the TV by the bar. Game day has never been so good. When that is over, you have a perfect environment to relax and watch a movie.
